latest revelation the obsoleted submarines a former primeminister purchased from britain are so rusty they are incapable of diving to any decent depth thi is 8 years after they have been in drydock and 1.4 billion in costs

The real problem Canada shouldn't have purchased the subs in the first place.

One of Canada's old Oberon class DE submarines (you remember, the one that actually work) HMSC Ojibwa, has been sold to Elgin County's military museum and will be transferred to her final dock in Port Burwell, Ontario.

You get what you pay for. Subs cost money. Cheap, used subs that the owner didn't want and hadn't used in some time cost less.

Maybe next time we'll build our own or buy new ones. Also, if you plan to operate in the Arctic there is a lot to be said about a nuclear power plant.
