As for a smartphone, the smartphone and app I have doesn't seem to access the main page for reading news articles, just finding and updating gas prices, so I have to go to my browser to read news articles, but I prefer to use may laptop, which seems to work best, then the tablet, if you have a browser on your smartphone, you can access GB there also! Of course, in order to read news articles, no matter what you're using, you have to have an Internet connection, period! But, when using the GasBuddy app, with a good GPS signal, I can post/update prices, other than it's slower than with an Internet connection! I can't access anything else with the smartphone app other than posting/updating gas prices. If you can post/update a gas price with the GB app when logged in, you'll get credited with points to keep your consecutive days going! I hope this has helped you! Have a nice week! Ron
