hello from Maryland

by drpepperTX  May 09, 2013

You asked: "The federal government pumped oil from these site? Really? Sounds like more corporate irresponsibility, because they can."- Yep, that's the fact evowner. Across the North Slope, there are over a hundred oil wells drilled by the federal government that are no longer operational. At some sites, there are abandoned drums sunk in oil seeps; other wells have gas leaking from them. The Bureau of Land Management has finally released a draft plan identifying 50 of these so-called “legacy wells” for clean up. But they've been dragging their feet for ages on their responsibility while trying to get some one else to cover the federal responsibility.

Just a quick message to everyone, if this works. Holiday weekend is upon us, wholesale price of gas is up last that I saw, and a few stations rising in price; which would mean it's a good time to buy gas for most of you!

care to be buddies?

by teafortwo  Mar 18, 2013

Thanks ;0}

No moving parts; no blowing up mountain ranges; no acid rain; no billions of gallons of toxic "secret sauce" migrating into drinking water"; no barrels full deadly radioactive leftovers with taxpayer paid storage fees; no deepwater explosions; no earthquakes; no billions of tons of toxic emissions dumped regularly into the air we breath .... You can walk right up to solar panels and take a deep breath of fresh air! What a concept ;0} And to top it off? Energy refills are free. (I believe this is what coal, oil & gas shills hate most about solar energy ... free refills for life)

Kudos on your "United Arab Emirates opens first big solar energy plant" article. Even they understand the benefits of solar. More energy than we can possibly use ;0}

Welcome to GB. Would you like to be buddies?

I gave your Hanford article the eleventh vote. Did you forget to give it your vote as well? Good article. Thanks for sharing. Interesting that the same one that crys we have too much government regulation, is the first one to scream "where's the goverment? They should be talking care of this ...." Is this what is known as a neocon?
