There should not be laws preventing car owners from putting fuel in that is BEST for the vehicle's engine.

Corn should help the hungry, not the drivers. I avoid ethanol gas whenever possible.

How many people who have sounded off about this have actually read and acted on the last line of this post. Bitching about it here won't help. Contact your representative and let them know how you feel.

The UN recently urged the US to either drop or temporarily suspend the mandate due to international food shortages.

So people will starve due to lack of bread just to feed ADM? Subsidy reduction = tax reduction.

farris: problem is, the farmers you subsidize are not the small farmers who have maybe 100 or 300 acres. It's the Pig Corps who own thousands of acres in one spot, monoculture farm and when the crop goes belly up, they get more money, even though it has been proven a lot that monocultures are bad.

There are times
when it is hard to get point a point b because off all the cars on the side of the road because they use 10% eth. in the fuel.

Congress won't eliminate it...too much pressure will come from the farm and ethanol producer lobbies will stop it. We definitely should: 1. not increase its use to E15 and 2. find other non-food sources to produce ethanol.

A great idea -- Ethanol is terrible as a fuel and uses corn which is better used as food/feed.
